DANGEROUS GAME – .375 AND BIGGER
Bushveld Game – No calibre smaller than 270. 
Plains Game – No calibre smaller than 243. 
Fixed power scopes – 4x or 6x.
AMMUNITION: 
Quality bullets, preferable heaviest grain in specific 
calibre. If self-loading, aim for moderate velocities, 
2300 – 2500 fps.
HANDGUNS: 
.357 and bigger. Same reasoning as that of rifles applicable.
SHOTGUN: 
12, 16, 20 and 28 Bore as well as 410
ARCHERY 
BIG GAME SPECIES:            Preferable 70 lbs, Compound. 
SMALL GAME SPECIES:     Preferable 60 lbs.
DANGEROUS GAME:            Definitely 80 lbs +.

ARROWS: 
Carbon or aluminium shafts.
Quality fixed or mechanical broad heads.

MUZZLE LOADERS: 
.45 or .50 Calibre and bigger.

CLOTHING 

It is often cold in the early, pre-dawn morning, 35º – 45º till first light. The air, however, quickly warms with daylight to 70º – 75º by noontime. With this variance in temperature layered clothing works best. 
Remember, daily laundry service, do not overburden yourself with too many clothes.
